BodyBag "MUTILATED BEYOND RECOGNITION" (DFR 029).

We proudly present the next Dismal Fate Records release (DFR 029). After the re-release of their second demo Severed Existence.... from the USA, here is BodyBag with their debut demo "Mutilated Beyond Recognition" from 1992.

From The Northwest depths of Portland, Oregon comes the area’s most prominent display of death metal carnage. Bodybag’s original grind-core style has started an uprising of hungry followers.

They played in support of death metal legends Morbid Angel, as well as Suffocation and Dismember. BodyBag has even opened for a lighter side of their niche with "The Organization" (formally Death Angel) tour and have been asked to support acts such as Fear factory and Entombed.

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names. Bertrand Marchal
